about

Digital-only release.

Early live recording from The Brisbane Hotel in Hobart. I was actually billed as Crude Vessels for this gig, a stage name that lasted all of 6 months before I decided to go with my real name instead. Lots of audience chatter but it holds up ok in spite of that I think. Primitive bouzouki, a bit of a darker neo-folk feel here and there.

I also participated in a set by Hobart Improv Collective on the same night. Matt Bailey (Melb) and K Mason (Melb/ex-Hobart) also provided solo sets + Sister Olivia DJ'd afterwards.

Recorded on the stolen lands of the Muwinina people, much respect to the Tasmanian Aboriginal (palawa) community who are the ongoing custodians of this land.

about

Tim Panaretos Hobart, Australia

Acid/drone/free folk, often visited by the Greek blues without ever sounding like the original forms of rebetiko music. May also contain traces of free improv, noise, primitive instrumental & other psychedelic musics.

Solo recordings are mostly 6-string bouzouki. Various instruments in duo/group projects.
